Keeping global deliveries moving at Glen Turner
International Operations
With facilities in Scotland, France, Spain and elsewhere in Europe, Glen Turner serves customers around the world. Its dispatch operation sends out thousands of items daily, making dependable material handling essential to keeping goods moving.
Neil Grant has worked at Glen Turner for 12 years, progressing to Team Leader in the dispatch area. For Neil and his team, Hyundai trucks provide the reliability, comfort and flexibility needed to support a demanding workload.
The benefits of the Hyundai: the reliability, actually the comfort. You're actually higher, gives you a better view.”

A fleet built around the operation
Glen Turner operates 16 Hyundai trucks, with capacities ranging from two to five tonnes. Most of the trucks used in dispatch are 3.5-tonne models.
To help the team handle goods efficiently, trucks in the dispatch operation are equipped with four forks rather than two. Neil explains that this allows operators to lift double the amount at a time, supporting faster loading and movement of goods from the production line.
A push-pull attachment on one truck also supports container handling, giving the team additional flexibility when loading and unloading.
Our trucks have four forks rather than two, so we can lift double the amount at a time for faster loading, faster movements.
Putting essential information within easy reach
Glen Turner has customised its Hyundai trucks with roof-mounted computers and connected scanners to support order picking.
Positioning the equipment at eye level gives operators convenient access to order information. It is a practical adaptation that keeps the tools they need close at hand throughout the working day.
The fleet also includes five-tonne trucks fitted with specialist protective systems and fork coverings for the site's particular operating environment.
Comfort and confidence behind the wheel
Before choosing Hyundai, the Glen Turner team visited other sites and travelled to Leeds to assess the trucks for themselves.
Having tried alternatives, Neil says Hyundai stood out for comfort and reliability. That experience helped establish the team's confidence in the fleet.
Operator comfort remains one of the benefits Neil values most, alongside the elevated driving position and the view it provides.
